Great opportunity for an analytical and result-driven digital professional to join our team. At Flying Wombat, the Channel Specialist will be responsible for optimising our Digital B2B channels and supporting the execution of Flying Wombat Airways channel strategy. This role will enhance our processes and technical enablement for lifecycle management of travel agents.

The Channel Specialist will use NPS data to identify opportunities to continuously improve customer satisfaction and will drive the delivery of a prioritised roadmap. Guided by commercial drivers, customer needs and technology enablement, the Channel Specialist will drive the vision and product roadmap for our travel agency portal to deliver maximum customer and commercial value.

To be considered, key skills will include ​:

  • ​Tertiary qualification in Business, IT or relevant field
  • ​3+ years of professional experience in aviation, distribution, sales, IT or relevant area
  • ​Experience working for an airline, major travel agent chain or travel technology provider
  • ​Ability to analyse and structure complex data and to develop meaningful reports and insights (e.g. Excel, Adobe analytics)
  • ​Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ​Experience working with software tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
  • ​Understanding of Agile methodologies, especially working as a product owner/specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct end to end complex investigations pertaining to misconduct or grievances and facilitate mediations as required across all areas of the organisation. Provide direct support to the Workplace Relations Specialist as required.
  • Knowledge of tactical scheduling, contingency and business continuity planning, airport operations and customer service standards, operational constraints affecting aircraft operations, allowable defects, flight crew duty limits, aircraft limitations (TOW, EZFW) and resultant payload, flight planning and fuel requirements.
  • Partner with hiring managers in the facilitation of best practice recruitment and selection, and partnering with managers in the on-boarding of new employees and exiting of employees
  • Provide strategic guidance as to how to optimise participation within the indirect sales channel Lead a portfolio of strategic East region acquisition accounts
  • Successful implementation of a suite of software products to your client’s complete satisfaction
